Yorkshire is a beautiful & diverse county, which offers miles of beautiful countryside, including National Parks and gardens. in addition to this, the county offers a handful of lively cities including Leeds and Sheffield, plus a handful of littler market towns like Harrogate.

According to 1991 research, Yorkshire has a population of 3,978,484. This ensures it is the biggest county in britain, which is why the county is divided into 4 sections: north yorkshire, south yorkshire, west yorkshire and east yorkshire.

Yorkshire boasts a rich history, which goes back earlier than roman times. Indeed, the first people who lived in the county were the Celts, who originated from two different tribes, the Brigantes and the Parisii.

Despite this, Yorkshire owes much of its growth to the industrial revolution, which took place during the 19th century. The county had a popular coal, textile and steel industry around this time, which boosted its population and made it much more rich.

During world war two, Yorkshire became a key base for royal air force Bomber jets.

There's lots of things to do in Yorkshire, which include a handful of great museums & art galleries.

One of the finest art galleries is the john ruskin gallery in sheffield, which houses a great collection of art, medieval manuscripts & roster that were owned by john ruskin.

Whether you would rather have big brand stores or quirky independent stores, Yorkshire has a handful of wonderful stores.

If you like designer brands, you should visit leeds. often called the knightsbridge of the north, it has a harvey nicks, as well as a branch of louis vuitton & other designer stores. However, Leeds also offers a number of high-street stores, including makeover & Top Shop, so it suits any budget.

Yorkshire is such a big place that it boasts everything you need for any kind of evening out. The smaller towns have some wonderful pubs, although party animals should head for the cities including Leeds, York and Sheffield for brilliant night clubs and vip bars.

Sheffield and leeds have some wonderful clubs, so you'll be able to spend a wonderful evening there. in addition to this, these cities also boast a handful of wonderful live music venues, so you can go to watch a touring act or even a local band.
