Great Ideas For Your Summer Holiday to Spain and Some Nice Resorts Like Malaga

With popular tourist hotspots constantly refreshing their appeal, Spain remains the top destination of choice for a large number of European holiday makers.

Malaga and Alicante sit on the southern coast of Spain and are among the most visited of those traditional holiday destinations.

Both cities benefit from searing summer heat and revel in all the most attractive aspects of the Spanish lifestyle - late nights, sangria drinking and the special Spanish food and culture. Even outside of the peak holiday months the weather in Malaga and Alicante is almost guaranteed to be pleasant.

Malaga's varied history is a result of its occupation by Greeks, Romans and Moors and there are many beautiful castles and forts which can be visited there.

Today Malaga still appeals to visitors of any age and taste. Among the particularly Spanish pastimes which can be enjoyed in Malaga are seeing a Flamenco show, usually combined with dinner, or visiting the old bull fighting rings.
One very popular pastime in Malaga is golf as the region has built several world class golf courses in an effort to cater to tourists.

Children are also well provisioned for in Malaga as there are a number of water and amusement parks which make a great day out for all the family. Car Hire Malaga is the cheapest and quickest way to get to these places at your own convenience.

Malaga is comprised of a number of seaside towns and beach resorts which all offer different kinds of entertainment. If you are looking for some upmarket charm head to Puerto Banus where the marina is full of big boats and the nightclubs are packed with beautiful people. If you prefer to sample the buzz of a lively Spanish party town you may prefer to head to Fuengirola.

All of these travellers will be able to make use of the brand new facilities planned at Malaga airport. Malaga airport already has a high volume of passenger traffic from all over the world and the airport will be expanded with a new runway, new terminals and new parking lots being added to cope with demand.

While Malaga graces the Costa del Sol (Coast of Sun), Alicante is on the Costa Blanca (White Coast), an equally popular part of southern Spain in which to take a vacation. It is possible to drive between Malaga and Alicante. Though a long journey of about five hours, the route takes in some wonderful parts of the Spanish coastline and allows spectacular views out over the Mediterranean Sea.

Alicante car hire is also available from Alicante international airport. Airlines which use the terminal are Air Berlin, Aer Lingus, Germanwings, Finnair, Monarch, Sterling, Spanair, Transavia and Thomsonfly as well as the low cost carriers Ryanair and Easyjet. At the terminal you will find major car companies like Europcar and tourist will be pleased to know that the quality of the roads is very good in Alicante, even though there are a few toll roads.

Whether you plan to lounge on the beach or have an active holiday where you take in the sights, visiting Alicante is an unforgettable experience.
