For those visitors who love water activities there is a total of 24 reservoirs and 40 state lakes perfect for fishing as well as three major rivers which include the Arkansas River, the Kansas River, and the Missouri River. Many visitors come here every year to enjoy the wide variety of outdoor activities that are available for year-round enjoyment. Camping is also a popular pastime for those who visit Kansas as well. In fact there are 23 state parks that offer a variety of camping experiences that the family will love, including 14 that offer both modern and primitive camping.
