Years ago, I read about a food prepared by an Amazon Indian tribe that involved something like 19 preparation steps. The raw material - a root, I think - was highly poisonous. The preparation involved pounding, grinding, chewing and spitting it out, and more. If any step were omitted, the product would be deadly.I don't remember the source of the story. I'd appreciate any leads. Joel
