Lake Naivasha Kenya is a beautiful freshwater lake surrounded by a number of hills that harbor a multitude of Wildlife and without any known outlet - a prerequisite for a freshwater lake. Meaning "Rough Water", it was christened by the British from Naiposha, which means the waves occasionally made by the afternoon wind across the lake Naivasha.

At 1880 meters above sea level it is the highest among Rift valley Lakes.
