The Rythu-bazaar (farmer’s market) is for you, if you wish to pick your veggies and fruits fresh from the farm.

 

A variety of transport services are available in the city, the most popular being auto-rickshaws. Not recommended for the unaccustomed user as it can be quite an experience on the potholed roads. You can be spared the bumps and humps however if you care to “Call-a-Cab” i.e. the taxi services which have mushroomed everywhere. There are even special packages for the long ride to the newly-constructed Shamshabad Airport. The local MMTS train service is less-known but is a better option for travel within the city.

 

The most difficult part of moving to a new place is tracking down the everyday workforce. A reliable housemaid, a tailor who can fit you to the T, a plumber who turns up on time. The discovery process is generally by word-of-mouth and then comes an exasperating trial-and-error phase.
