Most of us have an idea in our minds as to how Hawaii looks and the many activities that can be done. Images of surfers, beaches and cookouts have been shown throughout the media for years. However, very few seem to know of specific locations in Hawaii that they can visit. This guide will focus on the North Shore of Kauai along with detailed information that visitors can take part in.
The North Shore of Kauai has warm weather year round which also keeps the water temperatures warms as well. This is perfect for those who want to swim, snorkel or just lay out on the beach. The warm weather will allow guest with the opportunity to really get out and do some sightseeing. Bike rentals are available throughout Kauai and the landscape is perfect for it. The Kalalau Trial is a favorite amongst tourist who want to explore the Hawaii terrain. There is a considerable amount of rain during certain seasons but this won't put a damper on your trip.
For the people who enjoy eating on their vacation, the locals have you covered on the North Shore. All of the traditional Hawaiian foods are served daily at one of the many local restaurants and eateries. Since Hawaii is apart of the United States, Americans who visit can still get the same types of food that they normally eat. After all, not everyone enjoys exotic foods that many local restaurants have to offer. Nevertheless, it is still available in abundance.
Passing the time
It would be a shame to take a trip all the way out to the North Shore of Kauai just to participate in what you can do back home. It would be more fun to take part in horseback riding, golfing and hiking just to name a few common activities. However if you want to just go grocery or gift shopping, you can do so at one of the many local shopping centers. Ching Young Village for example is a prime location to get gifts and souvenirs. Children will enjoy Princeville Shopping Center for toys and ice cream.
To hotel or not to hotel
Instead of renting a corporate hotel room many are trying to get the full local experience by renting out cottages. This allows the visitor to feel like they live on North Shore opposed to just visiting. The benefits far surpass crowded hotel where you are considered just another customer. If you plan on visiting the North Shore of Kauai you may want to consider this option as well. Not only does it feel like you are at home but in most cases the privacy and cost factors are in your favor. Most rental locations are situated on or near the beach with plenty of plants and flowers surrounding the area. This tranquil environment is ideal for relaxing and reflecting on life over a cold drink. The only problem you will face is wanting to leave the North Shore of Kauai to go back home!
