The Park boasts of around 2000 kinds of flowering plants and 170 different species of ferns. It is also dotted with a variety of medicinal plants. Mammals: The Park houses around 62 species of mammals, some of which come under the tag of 'threatened'. Apart from tiger, the other highlight of the Park is the Indian elephants. Other mammals inhibiting the Park are gaur, barking deer, mouse deer, mongoose, lion-tailed macaque, Nilgiri langur, foxes and leopards. The endangered Nilgiri Tahr is also seen here. Birds: Treat your eyes with a host of amazing birds such as darters, cormorants, kingfishers, the great Malabar hornbill and racket-tailed Drongos. According to records there are 320 species of birds in the Park.
