Places to Go in Jamaica on Vacation

Are you in the process of planning a trip to Jamaica? If this will be your first time visiting the island, you may be looking for more information on available activities and attractions. The good news is that there are so many great places to go in Jamaica on vacation.

Before focusing on what you can do and see on a Jamaican vacation, it is important to consider location. If you have already booked a stay at an all-inclusive Jamaica resort, your destination has already been decided on. Of course, you can still get out and explore all that Jamaica has to offer, but you may first want to examine activities and attractions that are located nearby your resort.

Speaking of your resort, it is important to note that you may not even have to leave the property. That is what is so amazing about Jamaica all-inclusive resorts. You could literally spend your whole vacation onsite and never experience a moment of boredom. Yes, you will find some variations, but most resorts are stocked full of amazing features, services, and amenities. All-inclusive resorts should have onsite swimming pools and fitness centers. Beachfront resorts, which most are in Jamaica, give you each access to a number of water activities, including swimming and snorkeling. Fine dining is also available. Super-inclusive resorts may give you access to additional activities, including golf, tennis, and volleyball.

Even though your Jamaica resort may provide you with enough activities, you may want to get out and see all that Jamaica has to offer. After all, its attractions are just one reason why it is such a popular Caribbean vacation destination.

Montego Bay

If you opt to stay in Montego Bay, there are a number of great activities that can cater to your every want and need. Do you enjoy nature and animals? If so, consider a visit to the Animal Farm, which is an animal sanctuary, or the Braco Stables Horseback Ride and Swim, where you can take relaxing horseback riding tours along the beach and in the water.

Are you a music lover? If so, the Bob Marley Experience and Theatre is a must visit. There, you can shop for entertainment merchandise, visit the entertainment center, and watch films that center on the work and life of Bob Marley.

If your trip to Montego Bay Jamaica is a family vacation, the Aquasol Theme Park is a must visit. Not only do you gain access to fun water sports for individuals of all ages, but they also have tennis and go-carts available onsite.

Ocho Rios

If you opt to stay at an all-inclusive resort in Ocho Rios Jamaica, you will be in the perfect area for sightseeing. If the beauty of Jamaica is what attracted you to the island, you will want to visit the Dunns River Falls and Park, where you will find beautiful water springs and waterfalls.

If you are looking for a combination of beauty and adventure, visit the Dolphin Cove, where you can swim with the dolphins. This attraction is located nearby the above mentioned Dunns River Falls.

If you are a music lover, than a visit to ReggaeXplosion is a must. Here you can learn about the history of reggae music through pictures, video, and music. Other popular activities for music lovers should include a visit to the Bob Marley Mausoleum or a Bob Marley Jeep Tour.

Negril

Negril is another popular vacation destination in Jamaica, as there are a number of amazing inclusive resorts to choose from. As for what you can do and see while in the area, you can visit Mayfield Falls. There you will find the perfect picnic spots, amazing cliff jumping and cave diving locations, as well as a natural Jacuzzi. A nearby River Walk tour is recommended as well.

When researching Jamaica activities and attractions, you may find some warnings for tourists. Do not let this deter you from getting out and having a good time. Just be sure to use your best judgment. If it will provide you with comfort and peace of mind, inquire at your resort which attractions are the best and safest to visit.
