San Francisco tours-Major tourist attractions

It took a decade for the engineer to convince the authorities for his attractive and most viable option. The bridge was constructed in four years with the capital invested at $35 million. Thus the bridge was declared to be the world’s longest bridge and it was called as the most magnificent bridge. In remembrance of the amazing far-sighted engineer Joseph Strauss, there is a small statue which was created. The Golden Gate Bridge has been featured in the most popular movies, books and televisions like to quote some of the movies of Superman, Raiders of the last Ark and TV shows like Nash Bridges, Full House and many more. More that 100,000 vehicles cross the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge is well equipped with six lanes of traffic, pedestrian walkways and bike lanes on either side. Two points, one on the northern side and the other on the southern side offer the visitors with an opportunity to have a closer view of the bridge. Both of these sides are well equipped with restrooms, telescopes and the southern side also a small well-built museum.

Union Square is the geographical and the cultural heart of San Francisco since 1850, bordered by Post, Powell, Geary and Stockton streets. It is a place where you can shop, dine, relax and celebrate together. Union Square is known as the place to stay and enjoy in San Francisco tours since the 19th century. You can enjoy the accommodations right from the large, beautiful and admirable hotels to the small European styled inns. Some of the notified hotels that can take your breath away are the Grand Hyatt, Westin St. Francis and Campton Place. Union Square is the central hub of San Francisco’s mass transit system, there is convergence of number of bus lines on the Square and the Powell Street cable car line transverse. The Square also has the feature of good location because there are many sights that you can walk to like China town and Market Street.
