Self Catering Rentals In Costa Del Sol, Spain

With average annual temperatures of 18ºC and over 300 days of sunshine per year it isn't difficult to understand why Costa del Sol is one of Europe's top holiday destinations.

Malaga is a stepping stone to the Costa del Sol. Only a few visitors visit the city as they rush from the airport to their holiday resort. In doing so they miss a gem of a city with a fascinating old quarter next to a Roman theatre and Moorish palace, a commercial centre with first class shopping and also a vibrant social life. A well known playground to the rich and famous, Marbella is now accessible to many who swarm south to enjoy the Spanish sunshine and the world class golf courses of the Costa del Golf.

During the 1950s and 1960s, Torremolinos was converted from a quaint fishing village into the Costa del Sol's original tourist resort. Today it is a concrete jungle but with fine beaches and ample accommodation, it has plenty to offer its visitors.

There are so many places in which you can stay and indeed visit on the Costa del Sol. It's not surprising that so many people visit this area of Spain each year. The Costa del Sol's good weather is also a big attraction - perfect for sporting activities.

There are approximately 70 golf courses on the "Costa del Golf" which can be played all year round, as well as a whole range of other activities available such as sailing, scuba-diving, horse riding and dolphin safaris. The list goes on and on!

If you've got children in your party, then be sure to check out The Tivoli World Amusement Park, which has rides and shows such as Wild West displays and Flamenco.

Another attraction that you might want to take the kids to is Aqualand Torremolinos, which is a huge water park and would make a great family day out. There's also Selwo Adventure Park near Estepona, which is a nature park, safari and adventure park, and Benalmadena Sea Life Aquarium.

If you've got a head for heights, then be sure to take a ride on the Benalmadena Cable car which runs to the summit of Monte Calamorro. Here you will witness some amazing views over the Costa del Sol, Sierra Nevada, Gibraltar and the North African coast.

There's just so much to see and do in the Costa del Sol. Away from the coast there are numerous excursions into the real Spain with the cities of Ronda, Seville, Cordoba and Granada all accessible with day tours.

After a busy day sightseeing or just simply sunbathing on the beach, you will probably want to sample some nightlife on the Costa del Sol. There are plenty of things to do at night, whatever your taste - whether you're looking to enjoy a romantic meal in a local restaurant or to dance the night away at a nightclub.

Offering many, many options on accommodation, the Costa del Sol is definitely a place to consider. Vacation home rental fees are reasonable, cheaper yet if you opt for a self catering apartment or house rental, direct from the rental property owner.

Rental properties are to a high standard and you will not find it a problem sourcing somewhere suitable. The Internet provides a haven of reasonably priced rental properties.

Whether you are looking for a long or short term rental, you should be able to find your ideal property in the Costa del Sol.
