Simple Tips how to safe money during your vacation

Here are a few simple tips on how to safe money during your stay in luxury hotels. It is not guaranteed to work for you but I tried some of them and they seem to work, some I was too embarrass to use but people send me emails telling me how much money they saved with this and how much money they will save in the future.

Hotels can not afford to lose business or unhappy customers. Luxury hotels don’t want to lose customers because they are likely to tell another 15 people about their experience and the luxury market is to small for that kind of mistakes.

Here are some examples taken from real life how people save money:

Don’t be happy

Of course you are. You are on vacation, having fun, enjoying the sun, the snow or maybe the wilderness. But don’t show that to the staff. Staff pays far more attention to guests who seem to be unhappy then to guests who are enjoying them selves. The reason is: everybody is afraid to receive a complaint letter.

Complain right in the beginning

Check your room. I am sure there is something to complain about. Is there a broken light bulb? An outlet not working? A crocked window? Tell the manager on duty and I am sure you will be pampered for the rest of your stay. Nobody wants a unhappy guest.

Send your food back

Send your food back. It might be prepared the way you like it. Anyway, send it back and you will get a least a free drink at the most hotels or even a free dinner.

If you want to go for the big bucks

Tell them that you don’t feel appreciated and valued. Tell them that you expected something different. Tell them that you want to check out. That will grab anybody’s attention and you will walk away with good, free stuff.

As I said, I don’t guarantee this to work out for you and you shouldn’t take it to serious but if you want to read more, check out my website with more stories and articles about how to save money or download my free ebook.
