Start Your In Kenya Safari At Lion Hill Lodge Lake Nakaru

For Pink Flamingos Viewing on an In Kenya Safari, you have to go to Lake Nakuru, and possibly the best place to stay is at Lion Hill Lodge.

It is set on a plateau in the Rift Valley, with a panoramic view of the Lake from the verandas from all the rooms. The lake ha sa shimmering pink glow thanks to the millions of pink flamingos, pelicans, and maribou storks.

The rooms are chalet like, and all have spacious verandas, which overlook the lake, and the wonderful views of the pink flamingos. The gardens are a real feature with multicolored flowers and bushes.

The Flamingo Restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining areas overlooking the pool, and the Rift Valley, and the daytime emals are buffet style with a table d'hote evening meal.

The Rift Valley Bar is the place to see the sun set ove the lake. You can always have a Bush breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Lion Hill Lodge is the ideal starting place for an African in Kenya Safari Holiday because it is only about an hour from Nairobi, allbeit on pretty bumpy roads!!

In terms of game, that you will see on this part of your in Kenya Safari Holiday, you will have every chance of seeing leopard, white rhino, black rhino, cape buffalo, and the Rothschild giraffe. You can add to this zeras, and baboons who are quite nasty.

Lake Nakaru National Park is small, Lion Hill is probably the best accommodation as a start to your in Kenya Safari, and it is worth it just for the flamingos alone.

It is probably a one night stay lodge with an evening and morning game drive, before continuing your African Safari Holiday by driving or flying onwards, because there is so much that Kenya as a Safari destination has to offer.
