Looking for the perfect honeymoon destination hotel in the Caribbean on the island of Guadeloupe.
A perfect honeymoon destination is a small elegant hotel on Guadeloupe called the Amaudo Hotel at Cocola Beach., and it would be your very good luck to choose it as a romantic honeymoon destination.
The Amaudo Hotel is a very small hotel, almost a Caribbean Inn with only six very smart rooms, each of which has terraces overlooking the sea, with really great views of the islands of Marie Galante, and Iles des Saintes, and also Dominica.
The rooms have king sized beds, although they are twin beds tied very close together. Unusually there is a refrigerator on the terrace, and the furnishings are of the very best quality. The shower in the bathroom gives good water pressure, and tons of hot water.
The hotel has a wonderful infinity pool, and the views from the pool are equally stunning, also shared by the dining room where you eat breakfast, and also the place that drinks are served.
The Amaudo Hotel is just a delightful spot for your romantic honeymoon destination, and not really for any of the features described above.
It is undoubtedly the best honeymoon destination on Guadeloupe Island, with the atmosphere playing the major role. From the frog serenade at night, to the superb breakfasts, which although costing extra, is such a marvellous start to the day, with a platter of freshly cut tropical fruit, plus a basket of freshly baked breads. Butter, preserves, and freshly made coffee completes a lovely start to any day, but quite perfect on a honeymoon.
Another lovely thing about the breakfasts is the view, the lack of pressure to do anything, but watch the hummingbirds and pelicans, and the lovely sea. The Amaudo Hotel is the perfect place if you like us, just love the small hotel, private inn concept, and absolutely light years away from the resort facilities, television in every room with multiple channels, although to be fair the Amaudo Hotel does have television in the bedrooms, it's just that they are hidden discreetly away. You'll not find recreation equipment, what you will find is just a calm oasis, with long sunlit days for you to choose whether to lie around the pool or go exploring the island of Guadeloupe. You are very close to the town of St Francis, which is perfectly charming, with a lovely old port .
The words oasis, are heard often, the hosts are very welcoming and helpful, but you will need somewhat more than schoolboy French, although they communicate well in English, but prefer you to speak French, but around the island of Guadeloupe you will need French to get by.
The Amaudo Hotel comes strongly recommended for a perfect honeymoon, a real romantic getaway, be it with a wife or girlfriend. It is also a good destination for the older traveller who doesn't want a gin palace, but prefers the personal service of a small hotel. It is completely unsuitable for young single people, and families with children wouldn't find much for them.
It really is the perfect romantic honeymoon destination, and a wonderful base to explore Guadeloupe.
