Among many, the most common and colossal to deal with is, “How can we get out of the crisis of the flu?” Many ideas have come forth, which despite being valid and with “good intentions” have little or no evidence of materializing.
The only thing that can actually work and bring back the tourism which Puerto Vallarta was famous for, is to do endless promotion. Yes, you read correctly, what Puerto Vallarta really needs right now is endless promotion. You may wonder what I mean when I say “endless promotion.” Well, even though the promotional videos that were launched on to the internet, got a lot of people thinking about coming down to Mexico, but in totality it did not have a direct effect on the tourism in Puerto Vallarta. Hence the question stands: what can be done?
What we need to do is to promote <a href="http://www.pvrpv.com/">PUERTO VALLARTA</a>! We need to understand and logically decipher the statistical demographic situation of our tourism department. We need to focus on our immediate market which is Americans and Canadians, because it is these people who mostly come to Puerto Vallarta for their vacations in order to bask in the relaxing and refreshing sun of the Puerto Vallarta beaches. Even though some of the Mexican nationals come to Puerto Vallarta for their vacations, it is the Americans and Canadians who fill the major bulk of tourism.

Puerto Vallarta needs to begin a massive and aggressive television marketing campaign, in order to target the American and Canadian market. Multi faceted and discounted travel packages should be offered especially from Puerto Vallarta, the numerous fiestas, buggy rides, canopy tours, all of the sugar and spice should be promoted on television which is strictly a symbol of Puerto Vallarta.
Promotion should not only be limited to television but also should move towards the internet. Numerous websites are already present which feature the different events and specialties of Puerto Vallarta. The advertisement on the internet are fast, efficient and in a small time covers a very large audience which serves the primary purpose of Puerto Vallarta’s promotion.
