Thinking About Taking your First Cruise?

If you have never been on a cruise you don't know what you've been missing! No longer just for the wealthy there are cruises to fit any budget and lifestyle with durations from one night to forever. Yep, some ships have condos you can buy if you want to live at sea and travel the world.

Once considered a winter vacation cruises are now popular all year around and you can find some great bargains during the summer months. Some people that live near a major port take weekend cruises all the time for a quick getaway because they can be so inexpensive.

Today's cruise lines are launching bigger, more luxurious ships in an effort to gain market share with the cruise vacationer coming out the clear winner. Besides enjoying bigger savings than anytime in recent years as they compete for your travel dollars you get to enjoy traveling on some of the most spectacular ocean going vessels the world has ever seen.

Singles, couples, families and seniors can all find a cruise that fits into their budgets as well as lifestyles. Many people enjoy themed cruises where you can meet people that share a common interest. From magic cruises to meeting your sports heroes from childhood there is probably a themed cruise just waiting for you.

Don't worry about being bored on a cruise vacation as there are more fun activities to participate in than hours in the day. While most are included there are some optional activities like skeet shooting that have a separate charge. Of course, the best thing about cruising is you also have the option to do nothing at all but relax and enjoy yourself while being waited on hand and foot.

Ask someone about their cruise experiences and the first thing they will mention is the food. Included as part your trip you will be amazed by the quantity and variety of food available for your dining pleasure. You can take your meals in your cabin, the formal dining room or out on a deck if you want to dine alfresco.

Besides the three daily meals there are snack times throughout the day where you can get a quick hot dog or burger to hold you over until the next regular meal. Many cruises offer a midnight buffet for late night snacking and there is always room service for those that would rather stay in their room.

First time cruisers might want to consider the shorter two or three night cruises to get a feel for what cruising is all about without having to commit to a long trip. Check with your travel agent or better yet check out some of the popular sites on the Internet that specialize in deep discounted cruises and you will be on your way to a vacation you will always remember.

So, if you are looking to relax, eat great food and be treated like royalty a cruise vacation is the perfect choice and right now is the perfect time to book one.
