North East India is known for its lush green environment with blue colour splashing in between. The scenic zone is located in Eastern Himalayas, and thereby host some of the best travel attractions of India.
The region comprises of seven sisters and one brother - Assam, Arunachal Pardesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim. It welcomes its visitors with an invigorating charm and fully satite the itchy pulse of the globetrotters.
Kaziranga National Park: One of the most famous travel attractions of North East India and of Assam. Famous for One horned Rhinos, Kaziranga National Park lies in Golaghat District and partly in Nagaon District of Assam. The park covers an area of 430 Sq kms along the river Brahmputra and is one of the oldest National park in Assam.
Tea Estates: North East India is famous for Tea Estates and is largest producer of Tea in India. The region encompasses few of the most popular tea estates of the India. Most of the tea estates are located in Assam, so incase you are interested in sipping tea made freshly out of the leaves, you know which place to hop in.
Tribes of North East India: It has been the hotspot for population geneticists and the presence of linguistically, culturally and demographically diverse populations. North East India estimates around 532 tribal community, thus one of the perfect zone to discover ethinicity of the multilingual tribes.
Manas National Park: Awarded as World Heritage Sites, Manas National Park is one of the famous Tiger Reserves. It is also a home of one horned Rhinos and spans over an area of 28450 sq kms. It was designated as a Tiger Reserve in 1973.
Bihu Festival in Assam : One of the most known and celebrated festival of Assam in North East India. It is celebarated in full fervour. There are three types of Bihu festival in a year - Rongaali Bihu or ‘Bohaag Bihu’, Kati Bihu or Kongaali Bihu.
Buddhist Monasteries in North East India: Boasting some of the famous buddhist monasteries, North East India is often considered a cultural and religious hub for buddhist followers. The zone encompasses some of the major Buddhist Monasteries which you should not miss on your trip to North East India. Pemayangtse , Rumtek, Enchey are few of the major Gompas in North East India.
Adventure in North East India : You can enjoy number of adventure activities in North East India. Trekking, Mountaineering fishing are few to name.
