First of all it is mandatory that they are published by a reputed publisher for otherwise there wouldn't be a guarantee that the information given there would be correct. Secondly one should always ensure that he buys the latest edition for things might have changed and the information available, therefore, can become obsolete. Lastly one must ensure that while purchasing travel guides he never compromises on the cost for the information given in them worth their merit in gold.
It is for this very reason that travel guides are considered to be of extreme importance. So much so that it is advised that before planning an outing to any place one must consult the travel guides, for then one can be rest assured that he would have complete information about the place he plans to visit.
