City Palace & Museum

It also offers a magnificent view of the lake Pichola and the entire city from the upper terraces. A particular part of the palace is now preserved as museum that showcases ancient articles, clothes, utensils, swords etc. Other structures inside the City Palace are: Mor Chowk (famous for beautiful mosaics of peacocks), Manak Mahal and Moti Mahal (glass & mirror work), and Krishna Vilas (superb collection of miniatures).
Lake Pichola
Ideal for the best sightseeing in Udaipur, Lake Pichola offers exceptional scenic beauty of hills, embankments, bathing ghats, shrines and palaces in the vicinity. This artificial lake was made on the order of Maharana Udai Singh II after he founded the city.
Lake Palace
Earlier known as Jag Nivas, the Lake Palace was built in 1746 by Maharana Jagat Singh II. Earlier it served as a summer palace for the Britishers, but later it was converted into a heritage five star hotel. Spreading over 4 acres of land, the palace is one of the best examples of Mughal-Rajput architecture. Ancient paintings, stain glass windows, antique furniture and impressive array of fountains add to the beauty of the palace.
