There are many types of vehicles to hire in Uganda car rental companies depending on the number of people you have. There are those for three people, then mini buses that can carry up to 9 people.
One thing for sure is that Uganda has the worst roads so the best way to travel in Uganda is to hire your own vehicle if you can manage. It will be good if you can get yourself a 4 wheel drive vehicle. This will help you to maneuver the bad roads.
Uganda weather is some times unpredictable and for that matter a four wheel drive vehicle will guide you in times of rain seasons.
As the competition for tourist in Uganda is the order of the day, it will not be hard for you to get the best but cheap if you know how to bargain. Ugandans are trick they will never give you the last price at first, so make sure to bargain first
Another thing is that you must know how far you want to travel and for how many days you will need that vehicle. For those who use the vehicle for long days are normally given a discount compared to those for one day.
Uganda is a small country which is easy to circumnavigate within days and this will be easy if you have your own vehicle. With many tourist attractions scattered allover the country it will be impossible to travel by public means and moreover some places are far from public transport means.
It is easy to rent a car in Uganda. What you have to do is look on the internet or use your airline agent to book for you one. I bet, there is no any other means of sightseeing in Uganda other than using a rented vehicle. And the best of all is that they are cheap and affordable.
