The United States is a popular destination for vacationing among all. It is an amazing country that offers a variety of experiences. There are options for everyone, whether you are a backpacker or a luxury traveller. Before you start planning for your visit, make sure that you have a valid Visa. If there are hitches in your visa, you can even be denied entry into the country. You must be well-versed with the new Visa Waiver procedure that was implemented in January 2009 for visiting the U.S. The new rules apply to countries that are included in the Visa Waiver Program. This program is eligible only for travellers who wish to stay in the U.S. for less than 90 days. For others, visa is available through normal channels. The 'Electronic System for Travel Authorisation' (ESTA) of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security applies to all countries that are eligible under the U.S. Visa Waiver Program.
