Volunteer for Fundacion Proyecto Mesiasin Nicaragua

This orphanage houses 45 children, ages ranging from newborns up to thirteen years of age. Along with this they have a pre-school for the community and offer health services for kids, providing them with a pediatrician, nutritionist, and psychologist. But perhaps the most important role of this organization is providing the children love and care not only for their physical needs, but for emotinonal needs as well. This placement runs on a very low profit income, they can't afford to pay employees vacation time, so by providing volunteers, employees can take their vacations time of, and the placement still have a complete staff to provide and care for all these kids. Along with the meaningful experience that could means on both sides the kids and the volunteers. Volunteer can assist by doing the following tasks: As with any other volunteer service on kids, this include feeding, changing pampers, playing, etc... also with the oldest one can be a little bit of teaching the English language, example : numbers, colors, etc. Could be mop or sweep up the floor, do the dishes, hang the clothes, etc

Volunteers must be of age 18 or above with minimum education of high school.This placement does not need any volunteers in the month of MAY- JUN- JUL- AUG- SEP- OCT. Volunteers with the following special skills are preferred for the placement:- Early Childhood Education Recreational Programming Psychologist Psychology Student Day Care Work Crisis Counseling
