Basecamp International Centers believe international volunteering promotes cross-cultural learning that helps create global awareness, understanding between cultures and provides the platform for positive change. Our volunteers have taught in schools, provided disaster relief support for the International Red Cross, conducted essential research to improve the management strategies of threatened environments, built homes for impoverished people, provided vocational training and programs for street kids and have worked in co-operation with hundreds of local organizations to distribute aid and improve the quality of life for people throughout Asia, Africa and Latin AmericaWe have volunteer placement on Social, Heath and Medical, Environment, Children and Building Projects in Nepal, Peru, Ghana, Nicaragua, Tanzania, Costa Rica and Ecuador.Basecamp International Centers welcomes all the interested volunteers from around the world to volunteer and make a difference.
This organisation works to help underprivileged families by caring for children while parents are working. It serves the neighbourhood of Dora Ovando. The daycare is run by one woman who could use help caring for the children and organizing activities for them. Volunteers must be of age 18 or above with minimum education of high school.
Volunteers with the following special skills are preferred for the placement:-
Child & Youth Worker Early Childhood Education Social Worker (BSW) Social Work Student Psychology Student Day Care Work Social Worker (MSW) Volunteers can assist by doing following tasks:- Taking care of children, arts and crafts, helping with cleaning. These qualities would make the volunteers to work properly.
Volunteers who has the interests in this organization can join with the personality traits of being patience, adaptable, helpful and with the keen interest to solve the social problems of the society would be acceptable.
Volunteers are needed to be capable of helping the families with the child care and other activities that are beneficial for the poor families to sustain their livelihood .
People who are not open to new experiences and cultures. People who do not like children can have the difficulty to handle this volunteery work.So , the volunteer's who are good at handling the children should join this organization.
Volunteers who loves to work for the society and its people and who are interested in serving the poor children and care them are we4lcomed.
