Tulum is a partly-undiscovered paradise, where there are no words enough to describe the splendor and the magic of this place. There are a lot of ways to enjoy Tulum .Located 60km away from Playa del Carmen and 131 km from Cancun International Airport, Tulum is a perfect example of old-world travel trends. Tulum is known for its beautiful beaches and Ancient Mayan Ruins.  On the white sand beaches, a number of Tulum hotels are jam-packed to the brim with travelers slung on hammocks or just walking in the warm Caribbean ocean.

If you really want to immerse yourself in Mayan civilization, a visit to Mayan ruins is a must. History enthusiasts will enjoy the archaeological sites in Tulum, with its ancient Mayan ruins on a hill along the coast, next to stunning sandy beaches and the radiant Caribbean waters. Though much smaller in size, the Tulum Ruins is the third most visited historical site in all of Mexico. The archeological area includes The Castle which is the major of the buildings, and it overlooks the coast on the cliff edge, Temple of the Descending God portrays a diving figure, and is the same figure you can see depicted at other Mayan sites, including Coba and the Temple of Frescoes dates back to the mid 1400’s, and is a two-story structure with vibrant murals on the inner wall.

Sian Ka’an Biosphere should be next in your list if you’re planning to visit Tulum for a short while. This the largest marine natural protected area in Mexico.

One can enjoy and time for adventures at sea. Exploring the coral shelf which extends far out into the sea is flourishing with varied marine life, and harnessing the wind by wind surfing or maybe kiteboarding. A number of beach clubs in Tulum that offers kite-boarding lessons. Kiteboarding in Tulum is becoming a huge trend. The perfect wind condition make’s Tulum a great kiteboarding location.
