Welcome to Pakistan

SupersitePakistan.com is an effort towards that goal, to introduce Pakistan globally, highlighting the beauty of Pakistan.

If you enjoy visiting the historical sites then I would say Pakistan is a must visit for you. This country bears the remains of the dawn of human civilization. Without seeing it, your knowledge of history would remain incomplete. The history of Pakistan can be traced back to 3000 B.C. The Indus valley civilization, stretching from Kashmir to the Arabian Sea is one of the first civilizations of the world and it included the area of the present day Pakistan. The two major centers of this civilization are: Harappa, on the bank of Ravi in Sahiwal district and Moenjo Daro, situated in the Larkana district.

Modern day Pakistan consists of four major parts called provinces Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan and North-West Frontier Province.

Waves of conquerors and migrants including Harappan, Indo-Aryan, Persian, Grecian, Saka, Parthian, Kushan, White Hun, Afghan, Arab, Turkics, and Mughal settled in the Indo-Gangetic plains throughout the centuries, influencing the locals and being absorbed among them. The modern state of Pakistan was established on 14 August 1947, but the region has an extensive history that overlaps with the histories of India, Afghanistan and Iran. The region is a crossroad of historic trade routes, including the Silk Road.

SuperPakistan.com will cover almost all subjects related to Pakistan including Pakistani Culture, Major Cities, Provinces, Festivals, Events, Forts, News, Historical Places, Tourism, Fashion etc.

PROVINCES OF PAKISTAN

Punjab

Punjab truly is the land, enduringly antiquated and progressively modern. Although Punjab has well planned cities and beautifully conceptualized residential colonies, most of its people are rural folk for whom life revolves around the cycle of seasons, studded with a rich variety of traditions, fairs and colorful folk festivals, all around the year.

NWFP

North West Frontier Province is a province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, located on both banks of the river Indus and stretches from the Himalayas in the north to the deserts in the south. where it is bordered by the Baluchistan and Punjab provinces.

Sindh

The province of Sindh has been designated after the river Sindh (Indus) which literally created it and has been also its sole means of sustenance. However, the importance of the river and close phonetical resemblance in nomenclature would make one consider Sindhu as the probable origin of the name of Sindh.

The Indus valley civilization is the farthest visible outpost of archeology in the abyss of prehistoric times. The prehistoric site of Kot Diji in Sindh has furnished information of high significance for the reconstruction of a connected story which pushes back the history of Pakistan by at least another 300 years, from about 2,500 BC. Evidence of a new element of pre-Harappan culture has been traced here.

Balochistan

Balochistan the largest among Pakistan s Provinces in terms of area covers.

It has places with lofty and rugged mountains under Chiltan, Sulaiman, Sultan etc. and plains, stretching to hundred of kilometers. It has a fascinating history and is epitomized by the enthusiastic heartedness of its people.

The Balochistan coast line extends over 750 Kms from Karachi at Hub River to the Gawadar Bay on Pak-Iran border.
