Western Cape of South Africa Beaches

The area of Cape Town is the home of some of the most splendid beaches in the world. There are beaches that are ideal for individuals and couples and others that are more well suited for families. The beaches of Cape Town are a popular destination for tourists as well as residents of the Western Cape of South Africa. The beaches along the Western Cape of South Africa, along what is known as False Bay, are warmer, family friendly, and less developed. Beaches on the Atlantic Ocean

These beaches draw visitors who want a more sedate environment than the ones found on the Atlantic side. The beaches found here are more family friendly, however, they do become equally busy during the peak season.

The Western Cape of South Africa beaches of False Bay are located between the Helderberg beaches in the east and Cape Point on the western end of the bay. Some of the Helderber Beaches are Bikini Beach, Gordon's Bay, Strand, and Kogel Bay. They are all approximately forty-five minutes from the center of Cape Town and are ideal for families that want to enjoy swimming, surfing, beach walks, sun bathing, and fishing.

The Cape Point Beaches of the Western Cape of South Africa include the Fish Hoek, Muizenberg, Glencairn, St. James, Diaz Beach, Smitswinkelbaai, and Boulders. These are idea for those families that want to swim, surf, body board, or sun bathe.
