Where are the cheap holidays this year?

Many of us are looking for the cheapest holidays around at the moment. We can make use of the internet to search for the best deals so we can get away for a break this summer. After all everyone deserves a holiday to get away from all the economic doom and gloom, recharge the batteries and can return to work feeling fresh and ready to put in a hundred per cent.

It is worthwhile researching many destinations this year as there are some surprise cheap holidays on offer to countries you would normally not have though of as a cheap holiday destination. America or more specifically New York is one example. As airlines are struggling to stay in profit they have heavily discounted flights and it is now possible to find flights to New York for under £300. Couple this with the reported heavy discounts being offered by New York hoteliers as they have very low occupancy records it is possible to bag yourself discounts as much as half off, so you can stay in a four star hotel for less than £100 or seek out a lower star hotel that is possibly suited better to your budget.

There are other locations such as Bulgaria and other countries outside the Euro Zone that can offer you a good value holiday since the exchange rate against the sterling pound is more favourable than it is against the Euro. Ultimately if you are after the cheapest holiday possible then stay in the United Kingdom.

There are many great places that can cater for you and offer a great time whether you are going with your partner or family. The Lake District offers amazing views, Plymouth for hopefully some sun or you could head up to Scotland. Edinburgh has many attractions from the castle, Holyrood Palace, the old town, Royal Mile as well as Roslyn as featured in the motion picture The Da Vinci Code.

Whether you are considering staying in the UK or would prefer some guaranteed sun, make the use of the internet to search for the best cheap holidays. There are many comparison websites that will bring the best deals to your computer and allow you to make an informed decision.
