Where can I travel in Sudan?

Your traveling queries can be solved in this beautiful land of Sudan. Sudan, whose capital city is Khartoum is found in northeastern Africa and is the largest country in the continent, Sudan borders Egypt to the north, Red sea to the northeast, Eritrea and Ethiopia to the east and Kenya and Uganda to the southeast. You have to be familiar with a bit of Arabic since this is the official language in this country. Planning to travel to this country? Sudan can get stiflingly hot in the summer and the chances of power cuts are also very high in the summer months. The best time to visit would probably be spring and winter which falls in the months of November, December and January. February and March are the hottest months in the south, while April to November can be very wet. There are a few Greek and Middle Eastern restaurants in Khartoum that offer international cuisine. If you are invited to a Sudanese home you will be served with the staple diet called fool which is a type of Dura and cooked maize which are eaten with vegetables. These are very delicious foods that will leave you craving for more. If you are seeking entertainment, why not travel to Khartoum and Omdurman where you will see theatres, music halls, and cinemas? The entertainment is both open air and indoor hotel entertainment. The clubs provide all types of music including live music that is played by the most famous DJs in Sudan. Most large towns in Sudan have affordable hotels that offer quality services depending on price. These hotels provide a bed and fan with shared bathroom and toilet facilities, air conditioning and satellite television. Some of the five star hotels include Hilton, Friend Palace, Green village and Agropole. It is advisable to book for a hotel early especially those that give a clear view to the Red sea since they are normally on demand throughout the year. In Sudan you will always have something to do since it is a busy country. Some of the tourist attractions include Omdurman, Camel Market and the Arab Souk.You can pay a visit to the National Museum which contains archeological treasures. A visit to the Khalifa’s House Museum will reward those who are interested in Sudan’s most recent history. You can also visit the Gezira model farm and trip along the Nile to the dam at Jebel Aulia, where the river is spectacular and identify the various species of fish. Southeast of Khartoum on the Ethiopian border, you will come across the Dinder National Park which is one of the largest in the world. There are many species of wild animals, including lions, giraffes, leopards, kudus, bushbucks and antelopes, and birds such as guinea fowls, vultures, pelicans, storks, kingfishers and the beautiful crown cranes. Are you a fan of sight seeing? How about visiting Jebel Marra, which is the highest peak in the Darfur region of western Sudan? It is a region of outstanding natural beauty, with waterfalls and volcanic lakes and a pleasant climate and consequently a favoured resort. Sudan has a sophisticated transport network including rail, road, air and water. You will travel comfortably around the town to different sights with the convenience of expensive executive taxis at reasonable prices. Take a trip to Sudan and experience her beautiful beaches and good climate. This is one of best places to be for a holiday.
