Why Choose Tenerife

Tenerife has something for everyone, whether you want to laze on the beach or visit some of the moe picturesque regions of the island.

Tenerife offers beaches, mountains, volcanoes, snow and incredibly beautiful coastlines. The climate on Tenerife changes considerably depending on location with the warmest climate in the south and west sides of the island. Near the volcano of El Teide, cold winds and snow can be experienced. The island attracts over five million tourists a year and is only four hours from the UK, with a yearly average temperature of 25°C.

Most of the beaches on the island are naturally jet-black due to the island's volcanic sand although the beach on southern Tejina is naturally golden.
Carnival celebrations on Tenerife are said to be outstanding, with parades, stalls and folk dancing. The fiesta of Corpus Christi sees islanders spend hours building traditional carpets made of sand and flowers. The annual Mardi Gras Carnival at Santa Cruz is the second largest in the world.
Known as The Island of Eternal Spring, Tenerife is situated just off Africa’s west coast, with gold and grey beaches contrasting with picturesque mountain villages and volcanic landscapes. It is a perfect all year round holiday destination and is popular with sun worshippers wanting to escape the UK weather. It is also perfect for water sport enthusiasts, golfers and families with children.

There is always something for everyone, with national parks offering some of the most exotic landscapes, including the pine forest of El Pinar, a tropical forest with long yellowish-green needle pine trees. Loro Parque has a variety of wild life, with dolphin shows and shark tunnels and an amazing pengarium. Siam Park in Las Americas is a water and jungle park with sea lions and crocodiles.

The best time to look for Tenerife holidays are outside the peak holiday times of the year. Summer is busiest time but great deal can be found, particularly in the months of February to May and October into the winter.
