Be Nice, or I’ll Go Somewhere Else - South Africa Car Rental

In today’s world, there is a lot of choice – and when you are looking for a car rental company in South Africa. There are a few points that, if you are not happy with, tell the company “Be nice, or I’ll go somewhere else.” – because as a consumer, you should!

If your company does not live up to the following, start searching:

1) A human being must answer the phone – don’t let some stupid computer make you punch in numbers for the whole day and then drop your call.

2) Don’t waste your time on ridiculous websites. If they cannot have a decent website up, imagine what their cars are like.

3) Problems happen. Live with it – its how the company reacts to a problem, or potential problem. If your company doesn’t care about you or their car, they don’t deserve to get your hard-earned cash.

4) Their staff is their problem – and the staff better be nice. Just because the person helping you does not own the company, it does not mean that they can be rude in any way. If they are, get them fired.

5) Your car – this is what you are paying for. Make sure you get the vehicle category that you booked, or a higher category. When booking your rental vehicle, you may ask what vehicles they have in the specific group.

6) Returning a car is painless. Get there, give the keys and get on your flight. If you want an invoice, tell the company to email the full and final invoice. We suggest that you fill up the vehicle for two reasons – you know the tank is full and you wont get charged, and you have proof of when you returned the vehicle.

7) A low price is not the best price. Sure, your prices must be competitive – but, factors like age of vehicle, service, timely-ness and convenience is vital.

8) Be nice yourself. You cant expect other people to be nice to you if you are a bastard to them.
