Cheap All Inclusive Holidays without a Nasty Surprise

Many holidaymakers are booking cheap all inclusive holidays last minute after changing their mind about staying in the UK this summer after a pretty poor British summer yet again. Instead people are searching for bargain all inclusive holidays so they can relax and enjoy the sun before the season is out. Fair enough but if you are one searching for one of these low cost all inclusive holidays you should be aware of the dangers of booking holidays at this time of year.

This is the time of year, the end of the summer when airlines and holiday companies traditionally go bust as cash flow becomes an issue and the end of the season comes.

This problem will only affect a low number of people but by following these tips below and you will be less likely to be in the group that will suffer.

Holiday Providers Going Bust

This month and in September is when travel providers become insolvent as they experience cash flow problems. According to Abta (the Association of British Travel Agents) there were 25 failures in 2008 and in a bad year like the last recession numbers can double. So far this year there have been 20 companies going under. The risk is relatively low but following a few simple guidelines can save you losing your savings. ALWAYS book with a credit card when the transaction is worth more than £100, this way if the company were to go under the credit card company would be equally liable for the monies and therefore can repay the funds to you.

Luckily for the operators the British summer has been dismal which has encouraged holidaymakers to search for last minute deals abroad in the sunshine rather than stay in the UK, keeping a few more in business.

The internet has empowered us, giving a wealth of information at our hands so we can do a little research before we book our holidays. Ensuring locations offer us what we want from our holidays but also allowing us to compare and find cheap all inclusive holidays. Of course any operator could fail dependant on their cash flow and how they operate their business but It is better to book with a reputable operator.
