Isn’t it a beautiful and mesmerizing combination of three S? Wondering over the S mystery? Indeed, you do not need to. Sun, sand and sea, are the attributes that epitomizes the unassailable beauty of Goa.

Goa, which is today the tenth most visited tourist destination, emulates tourists from worldwide. With its soothing beaches, myriad churches and the unique synthesis of Portuguese and Indian culture, Goa is definitely the example of countless tourism purposes. This stupendous territory was once the Portuguese terrain. The Portuguese, fused there culture, lifestyle and mind-set with the Hindu society. Today Goa’s ethos and élans are the upshots of that blending.

It is undoubtedly a place of distinction where romance looms over every heart, guitar strings mingles with each sensuous whirling of waves, lone and warm golden sand sets for the rustic ambience, variety of cuisines with swig of some locally brewed drinks, is all that can be grappled in a concert over there. Goa is a unique blend of two different cultures. Perhaps, ‘East truly meets west’, sets perfectly for the place. It has always been a Christian dominant land and thus, it touts and imbibes western way of life. But that doesn’t make it any particular religious centric hub. The image of Goa beefed up only with the co existence of Hindu and Christian society.

Tourism is what that had made Goa a global brand all around. Its vivid kaleidoscopes, picturesque landscape: all stands for relaxation and carefree holiday trip. Even for the honeymooners: it does always come out at first number amidst other Indian holidaying spots. Goan dance, music, carnival enchants tourists at its best way. Goa has a rich dance tradition. The most popular folk dance forms are Fudgi and Dhalo performed by woman. Kunbi, Dekni, Lamp dance are the other examples that add verve and vigor to its gleeful tradition.

As far as music is concerned: it flows in Goan blood. Mostly, the tunes are enthused by the Old Portuguese songs. Goan music has contributed a lot to our music industry whereas on the international platform the stir is immense. If come to Goa then don’t miss the chance to rejuvenate yourself with soft, dulcet ditty at the nightclubs. Indubitably, it will recover the cost of your trip.

There is one more fun loving cultural characteristic of Goa, ‘Carnival’. Albeit, celebrated for only three days, preparation for festival started many days before. Street plays, songs, dances, people in colorful dresses on the streets are the common sights during carnival. Though, the Christian community celebrates this festival but it has no religious undertone. So, we all can take out best of enjoyment at this very blissful celebration!
The culture and tradition makes it such a colorful place that even people from our film industry spots, Goa as one of their first penchant among other places in the country. Film festivals, Shootings etc, are the regular undertakings there. And this earns a lot to Goa.; tourism is absolutely the base of all the thriving prosperity.

Goa is now looking beyond its beeches. Goa is fifty percent urban and fifty percent rural that makes it a much-diversified place from the investment point of view. Poverty rate is also very low over there, merely 4.35%. The birth rate is also low. It has amongst the highest per capita incomes. The standard of education also touches to 100%. Women over there enjoy free education till graduation, a norm that sets equality among men and women.

Trade and commerce have so far been spectacular due to the presence of natural ports in Goa. The government is installing various new initiatives for the state. Like IT Parks, Shopping malls, International airport, Multi national companies, so the overall focus is on the wealth creation. These all things will automatically stimulate quality of tourists and thus, increase the revenue. Goa is a rich land but it has unfortunately been vouched as a merry making place alone. So now it is the pinnacle to look forward towards the future, say twenty years hence, when it will come up as the top business destination.
