Nanning is the capital city of Guangxi Province in southwest China. Come here, you can taste the unique cultural flavors of minority ethnic groups of Guangxi.

As the city to hold the 5th China-Asean Expo, Nanning has a lot of things to offer. The famous attractions are Mt. Qingxiu and Mt.Daming, quite Yangmei Ancient Town, fairyland Yiling Yan Rock Cave and as well as scattered parks and gardens. Beside these, there also has a lot of delicious local food to offer you, such as the various porridge, rice noodles and as well as Suanye (fermented fruits and vegetables).

Yiling Yan Rock Cave
Located 20km northwest of Nanning, the Yiliang Cave is a karst cave formed a million years ago as it is estimated by geologist. The Yiliang Cave looks like a huge trumpet shell and is divided into three layers. Rocks pose in thousands of shapes along the zigzag cave path, leading you to a mysterious world. When you are among many beautifully shaped stone flowers, pillars, curtains, stalagmite and stalactite, you likely feel as if you are in a fairy tale.

Yangmei Ancient Town
Built in the Song Dynasty (960-1279), the town has kept well the ancient architecture, streets and unsophisticated folkways. Yangmei Ancient Town is located in the lower reaches of the Zuojiang River and is surrounded by a river at three sides. When you wander along here, it seems that you have traveled back in time.

May and June are the best time to visit there when the lotuses in the pool are in full blossom and the willow trees in grace shapes. Besides, there are reachable bananas and pineapples. These pollution-free fruit are too attractive for you to miss.

Mt. Qingxiu
Mt. Qingxiu, also called the Green Mountain, is honored as the 'green lung' of Nanning. In the area, ridges and peaks are rising and falling, mountains and hills are green, spring is clear and rocks are wonderful. The mountains here are not high but beautiful and waters not deep but clear.
The Dragon Elephant Pagoda and other cultural relics make the mountain even more intriguing. There are also the Grand Tropical Rainforest Garden and the Palm Tree Garden worth exploring.

You can come here all around the year. In summer when the grass is green and the flowers are in full blossom, you can go boating. in November and December, you can enjoy yourselves in the annual Guangxi Food Festival. in February and March, you can view the blossoming peach flowers on the mountain.

Nanning is also the linking point of the tour route from Guilin to Beihai. If you have more time here, you can explore Guilin and Beihai two neighbor cities.

Guilin - With the stunning landscape, Guilin has a kind of magic that is all its own. The strangely shaped hills, or karst, with the verdant vegetation ranging from bamboo to conifers together with wonderful caves make Guilin as such an attraction for tourists.

Beihai - As a beautiful garden seaside city in the south of China, it is no exaggeration to say Beihai is a present given by Mother Nature. The Beihai Silver Beach is reputed to be a long beach of 24km (about 15 miles) with soft white sand and gentle waves. The Beihai Silver Beach is a natural spot to bathe and has acquired a name as 'No.1 Beach under Heaven'.
