Brides and grooms to be might want to consider Sanibel as a destination wedding locale. All the elements are there to make the wedding memorable for the intended couple and delightful for all who attend.
For six months or more out of the year, the temperatures are sunny with nice breezes and no humidity.
The Gulf is a beautiful back drop for a marriage ceremony.
And all the resources a couple will need from reception venues to florists and photographers are easily found right on the Island.
The bridal party and invited guests will have a wide variety of things to do together or independently as well as diversity of choices in lodging for the wedding, and hopefully to add some time before or after as their own vacation.

Fort Myers is the closest airport, only 40 minutes from the island and a hub for planes coming from all over the country as well as much of Europe. Miami airport is only a 3 hour drive and services national and international flights. Sarasota airport is less than 2 hours away and Tampa is again, a 3 hour drive.
In addition to these 4 airports that can be the transportation connection for guests traveling by plane and from hundreds of locations, the highways into Florida are very good and easy to travel for guests who may be closer and wanting to use their own cars to get to the island.
Although Sanibel is the site for many weddings a year, it is still surprisingly relatively unknown as a destination wedding.
Considering the reasonable cost, convenience and appeal of a wedding on a small and well managed resort island, it would appear the ideal spot to tie the knot!

Over this past year, I have met the most beautiful girl of my life. She has it all. She's smart, funny, and just drop dead beautiful. We currently work together and see eachother pretty much everyday. To be quite honest, I love this girl with all my heart. I mean, I would die for her if I had to. I've talked to many women but not like her. She makes me get the biggest smile on my face when I'm around her. Unfortunately, I learned that she has a boyfriend and it was really tough for me. Still, I was there to be the good friend that I have been over this year. But to be quite honest, her man looks like a scrub. He does drugs, drinks, etc... I'm not saying this because I'm jealous. I say this because she can get so much better than what she has. I often think about her while I lay in bed or when out doing stuff. It often makes me teary eyed that I can't be with her. That's how strong my love is for her. I really don't know what to do anymore. I see beautiful women everyday but I pay them not attention because I'm in love with this girl. I really want to tell her but it would be ackward to work together if thought it was wierd. I know she likes me as a really good friend but I wish it can be more than that. I feel so lost...

I am currently attached with a guy, and he is a married man. We have been together for 4 yrs and getting into our fifth. He has been a wonderful man in my life and provided me with tender loves and cares. I have agreed to myself that he is the man in my life and I dont mind if he is married.
However, during my recent vacation (alone)I me some one who is so fall for me during our first met.Frankly, over these past few years..there were guys that apprears to have interest in me but i have all turned them down as I am so deeply engaged with my bf. Except for the newly met guy! I cannot deny that I have such good feeling towards him. He is single and potential.
We had lunch and dinner for 2 days. We are so closed that it seems we have known each others for years. It is so unbelieveable! Unfortunately, I have rejected his interest after the dinner. Reason being is that I am attached to my bf and I dont want to betray our relationship.
I have a little regret after I have done so. I dont know if I have missed someone that potentially can give me what I want in life...family and babies, which my current bf is in difficult to provide me of.
