Things to remember to do before your holiday!

You may feel the urge from time to time to drop everything, pack your bags and jet off to the sun for a well deserved break away.  You should manage to be able to pick up some cracking bargains if you book last minute as well compared to if you booked your holidays in advance, which lends all the more reason to getting yourself away.  However, the feeling that you get when you need a holiday is matched equally by the stress of booking and preparing for the holiday itself.  It’s easy to forget all of those essential holiday ‘must do’s’ when you get into a panic!  So to help you prepare, why not take a look at this definitive list that I’ve put together on what things to remember for your trip and see if it helps you...

Holiday essentials.

•    Passports         
•    Visas             
•    Vaccinations        (if unsure, seek current medical advise from your GP)
•    Travel Insurance    (always ensure you have adequate cover)
•    Currency
•    Arrange pet care
•    Ensure you have sufficient supplies of medicines/prescriptions
•    Cancel any home deliveries (i.e. milk, newspapers)
•    Ask close neighbour to keep an eye on your property
•    Amend home heating settings for whilst you are away
•    Ensure your home is secured for your holiday
•    Petrol for journey to airport/train booked etc
•    Holiday documents/tickets
•    Airport hotel and/or car parking documents (if booked)
•    Check all luggage is travel worthy
•    Pack appropriate clothing and toiletries
•    Sunglasses/sunhat
•    Adequate sun protection (sun cream, sun block etc)
•    First aid essentials (plasters, painkillers etc)
•    Check your mobile phone can be used abroad
•    And don’t forget your toothbrush!!!

Hopefully by reading this list, one of the main perils of sorting out a last minute holiday will have been made easier for you, affording you more time to sit back, relax and dream about your forthcoming holiday!
