Tips for everybody who's planning to come Ukraine

Your planned trip becomes true! Congratulation! You travel to Ukraine! It seems exiting experience isn’t it. Some thing you have to know, otherwise your trip can be spoiled and you will come in deep stress.

1. First of all think about the place to stay beforehand! Hotels are unreasonably expensive and not really comfortable. The cheapest will be fine for those who needs to spend only night or two and interested to try a soviet exotic. There are still many hotels in Ukraine preserved soviet style rooms. The prices for night in so-so hotels are about $100 in cities like Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk.

Another option is rent an apartment in Ukraine. It is cheaper and more comfortable. You may rent apartment by yourself through real estate agency in interent or thought the travel company. But if you haven't seen this apartment before, be sure to sign it and make payment after looking at it carefully. It is possible you'll want to see more apartments to choose. Usually the apartment owners have more than one choice to show. Every apartment should at least have cold and hot water, new sheets, clean towels, a bar of soap, matches, dishes, salt, sugar. There are also popular so called Euro style apartment. It has a good repair or maintenance, modern furniture and bathroom, local phone, fresh and clean sheets, towels, boiler which provides 24 h hot water and quite often air condition and washing machine.

2. Remember that you can bring to Ukraine declared goods, such as technical appliances, jewelry, etc, for the total cost of 200 euros. If their cost is more, you'll have to pay additional fee. You can bring a camare, phone or laptop with you without paying for it. If you have new technical appliances, make them look used: take them out of box, make sure there's no price on them, otherwise the tax is required.

3. It is very good if you have a local assistant who meets you at the airport. It will help you to avoid problems, worrying and miscommunication. Having an assistant or interpreter will be helpful and be easy in your mind. If you don't speak Russian, then you will take only the benefit of having someone at your hand. You may have this person only for the first days in the country you don'in the stores, ticket offices, and transports, and will learn you the basic cultural things. Quite often people would take more money from the foreigners, so let your assistant, interpreter or guide in Ukraine make bargain about prices.
