You’re getting ready to pack for the vacation that you’ve scheduled to the beach resort that you’re really excited to go to. You’ve got your plane tickets ready to go, and your reservation acceptance to the beach resort is printed out and already put in a safe place. But what else do you put into the suitcase before you go? Here are a few helpful tips.
· A swimsuit. It doesn’t matter if you’re not planning on going into the water at the beach resort, always bring a swimsuit. A swimsuit is great no matter if you’re thinking about going swimming at the beach of if you’re going to stay at the beach resort in order to enjoy their pool or their spa.
· Sunscreen. Always, whenever you’re going to a beach resort or anywhere that is going to be permeated with lots of sun, bring sunscreen. Skin cancer kills thousands of people a year, and you’d hate to know that you got skin cancer when you were enjoying your time at a beach resort, wouldn’t you?
· A calling card. You never know if your cell phone is going to work at a beach resort or not, so it is a good idea to bring a calling card in case you’ve got to call back home from the beach resort in order to check on your plants or something else. Or just to remind people that you’re at a beautiful beach resort.
· Dress clothes. There are lots of places at a beach resort to go out to eat at a nice dinner, so always bring nice dress clothes with you. You may find somewhere in the beach resort to eat or you may find that there’s a great restaurant further away from the beach resort in town.
· Extra money. Set a certain budget for yourself for spending at the beach resort and try to stick to it, but always bring a little extra, either in the form of a credit card or a debit card. A prepaid credit card is often the best idea to bring with you to the beach resort so that you don’t spend more money than you’d like.
· Clothes in your carry on. Luggage can get lost easily, so it’s a good idea to bring along some clothes in your carry on during your trip to the beach resort just in case. If you can, make sure that you include your swimsuit and a change of undergarments.
· Some plastic bags. It may seem very grandmotherly of you, but you don’t really want your dirty underwear to travel home from your beach resort vacation next to your souvenirs, do you? Putting your dirty clothes in a plastic bag at the beach resort in your luggage can make it much nicer to unpack.
In order to enjoy your stay at a beach resort, make sure you write a list of everything that you want to bring with you. This way you’ll be able to check it and ensure that everything you need goes with you, so that you can fully enjoy your stay. It’s also a good idea to make a “to home” list as well, so nothing gets forgotten at the beach resort!
