Ice Skating
Next to the Sports Centre just outside the Village you will find a full sized outdoor ice rink. There is no need to bring your own gear as skating and hockey equipment can be rented onsite.
Tube Time – Tube Park
The whole family can enjoy a day at the tube park. Tube Time is directly beside the Village Platter Lift and operates every day between 12:00pm and 7:00pm.
Dog Sledding Tours
Lead a team of Alaskan Huskies through the forests of Sun Peaks. Warm attire and a good pair of snow boots are advised as guests may be required to run alongside their dog team while traversing certain types of terrain. It is for this reason that children under 14 and people who are not physically fit ride along with the guide for safety precautions.
Kamloops Blazers
Live hockey action isn’t reserved strictly for large cities. The Kamloops Blazers are a short drive from Sun Peaks and compete in the WHL. Games played in this league are highly competitive as players that do well here move up to the NHL. You never know, by attending a WHL game you might be witnessing the next Wayne Gretzky before his big break!
First Trax Breakfast
Getting on the mountain a full hour before the lifts open to the general public is something avid skiers can only dream of. At Sun Peaks however, this dream can be made into a reality with First Trax Breakfast. At 8:00am on every Wednesday during the ski season, First Trax ticket holders get one hour of powder-carving bliss before the mountain opens up to everyone else. The package also includes breakfast at the Sunburst Restaurant which is available until 10:00am.
Snow-Bikes
If you enjoy riding a bicycle, you’ll have a blast riding a snow bike. Snow bikes are simply bicycles with tracts and skis in the place of wheels. Before heading out onto the mountainside, a 2 hour training session is recommended.
Snowshoeing
Let an experienced tour guide lead you through every aspect of Sun Peaks’ snowy scenery. Guests taking part in this activity will learn about the history of Sun Peaks while interacting with its’ natural habitat. Below is a list, outlining the schedules of the available tours.
