They can help get the child's academic performance back on track and they can also be an excellent third party for the child to confide in. Children will often not talk to their parents about problems they are having in school due to shame or even threats from other children but they will talk to someone that is entirely removed from the situation especially if that person is easy to talk and relate to (which all Private Tutors should be). If you have concerns about your child being bullied at school then speak to their private tutor about it and find out if they are aware of what is going on.
