An Apartment to Rent in Costa Del Sol

Apartments can cost a lot of money these days. Finding one that’s actually worth the price can be difficult. Once that apartment is secured and it’s time to vacation, you don’t want to have to blow an entire month’s rent in one night.

Luckily there are plenty of apartments to rent in Costa del Sol in southern Spain. Costa del Sol is a great vacation resort area that borders the Mediterranean Sea. Along the coast there are several small towns or cities itching to get your business with their luxurious hotel and beach resorts.

There’s also an option of renting an apartment for a week or two. This may seem nuts at first – when you think about how much apartments cost – but it’s actually pretty sane. The going prices can be as low as 300 dollars a week. If you’ve worked for a couple years and a built up vacation time then you’ll be paying a low of 600 dollars.

Of course, that depends on the season. There are low, mid, high, and peak seasons for renting out apartments, hotels, and villas in Costa del Sol. The low season starts in October and runs until the Christmas holidays starts. After January first they pick up again and run until April. After that it’s the mid season follow by the high season which ends in late July. The end of the high season marks the beginning of the peak season. The peak season runs from late July until the beginning of September where it becomes the mid season again until October.

The maximum in the peak season is about 1000 dollars per week.

There are also many places to rent an apartment in Costa del Sol, one of the best I’ve found is a town called Calahonda. I’ve found a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on the ground floor for about 320 dollars per week.

A fantastic price considering what you’ll be getting.

This apartment which is perfect for families has working TVs with satellite channels, a DVD player, an oven, a fridge, a microwave, and even a washing machine. It also boasts a pool to utilize. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy you’ll be happy to know the beach is only a 5 minute drive away.

The shops and bars of Calahonda are only a short walk away which makes the apartment stay all the more convenient.

Unfortunately this hotel isn’t air conditioned. However, Costa del Sol’s wonderful Mediterranean weather makes it hospitable to live regardless of air conditioning (which is why I imagine they have yet to invest in it for this apartment).

Vacationing can be a pricey endeavor. Renting an apartment can be an even pricier endeavor. So when it comes time to take a holiday shouldn’t the cost of where you’re staying for a short time be less than your rent? Of course it should.

By renting an apartment in Costa del Sol, particularly Calahonda, you’ll get a great place to stay at price that’s reasonable – especially by today’s standards.
