There is an astounding array of 53 blue flag beaches in Cyprus.  According to the Blue Flag Organisation, 6 can be found in the Larnaca district and 21 of them in the Famagusta district i.e. South East Cyprus.   That’s a lot of quality beaches!
Personally, I recommend heading for the South East of the Island as the most stunning and unspoilt beaches can be found here.  

Anywhere is beautiful around here, but one area that is very popular with young families and couples is Protaras. Protaras is a major resort in the Famagusta district and boasts to have the best sandy beaches. They're well known for their white-gold sand, secluded sea coves and crystal clear azure waters.
