Helen fell in love with all things Florida around 10 years ago and has been a regular visitor since then with her family from the UK. She has stayed in an assortment of privately owned villas around Florida before buying her own. She is now a joint Company Director Wannavilla.com - a website specialising in Florida Rentals direct from the owner.
Friends or family referrals are usually good but if they prefer cheap diners and you like to have a fancy dinner in a fine restaurant then chances are what they think of as “perfect” is not your ideal. First you have to decide exactly what type of villa in Florida you want. You need to determine your location first which will depend on what types of activities you want to do while you are there. Do you want to spend one week in one location and one week in another? Once you have narrowed down the area and decided when you want to go, then you have to get down to specifics. How many bedrooms do you need? How many bathrooms do you want – do they need to be full baths or can one be a half bath without a shower or bathtub? Do you want a pool or spa in the back yard?
All of these questions will help to narrow down your choices so that you can then start looking seriously for the perfect Florida villa. The internet is loaded with advertisements for rentals but how do you know if the picture shown is really what you will get or one taken twenty years ago when it was first built? Or what if it doesn’t have the pool as advertised or is fifty miles away from where you wanted to be rather than five miles away? Well – the answer is – you don’t know unless you can connect directly with the owner who can answer that question as well as many others that you might have.
Connecting with the owners sounds great but how can you do that? Many owners register their homes with holiday villa rental sites thereby giving you access. Once you have found a villa that suits your needs for the dates you require, you can contact the owner to finalize particulars of your visit and get any questions or concerns taken care before your vacation – rather than learn about it later after you have arrived. This allows you to feel confident that the accommodations you want are exactly what you are going to get.
Finding the perfect villa in Florida can be easy simply by doing it from the comfort of your own home and looking at photographs of properties so that you can see them inside and out. The opportunity to talk directly to the homeowner will make your Florida vacation planning a pleasure and the dream will become a perfect reality that will be remembered for many years to come.
