So Why would anyone visit Corfu, and in particular, choose to stay in one of the many excellent Corfu villas? The beautiful island of Corfu is situated just of the West coast of Greece and is one of the Ionian islands. Corfu's lush green landscape, coupled with its Mediterranean climate mean it is an ideal choice for holiday makers. Hot and dry in the summer, the winter rain creates lush vegetation which includes over 2 million olive trees. Much of the island contains a selection of wonderful, traditional villas, and I thoroughly recommend you to stay in a Corfu villa instead of one of the Hotels there, it all adds to the charm. The beaches their are delightful, but beware or renting a Villa in Corfu too close to the ground, as mosquitos love places close to water, you'd be better off renting one of the excellent Corfu villas up in the mountains, away from those pesky mosquitos and offering stunning views of the landscape and ocean below. Budget is a big factor when choosing your villa though, and most of the villas up towards the mountains command a higher holiday rental price, mainly due to the breathtaking views available. Generally though, Corfu is an affordable and excellent place to spend your holiday, and providing its in one of those marvelous Corfu villas, you're in for a treat.
