The Smoky mountains of Western North Carolina are your ticket to relaxation. Whether your style is sleeping under the stars or relaxing n a four star luxury suite the local folks of the mountains have a way of making visitors feel like home folk. Accommodations range from small country inns and cozy cabins to fine hotels and grand resorts. The choices for your family vacation or a romantic getaway destination are limitless.

Hotels and Motels

As a major holiday destination the North Carolina Smoky mountains have many of hotel and motel rooms to choose from, it should be no problem finding exactly what you're looking for.
You’ll find it easy to arrange and book your reservations. Just do a search for www.HeritageBlueRidge.com to find special deals on lodging . The southern Appalachian region has every kind of room you might think of from discount economy lodging to high end luxury hotels and spa resorts like the world famous Grove Park Inn.

The larger hotels offer shuttle service to and from the airport and most all offer free guest parking although some downtown parking rules . Several hotels offer free breakfast. Often this is a continental breakfast or just coffee and donuts.

Many hotels might require a minimum age. Usually children under 12 years of age stay for free in their parent's room using the existing bedding although most hotels offer rollaway beds and cribs. Several hotels and motels in the mountains have no problems with pets, the restrictions will vary but small pets are usually OK.

Your stay at a hotel may also include high-speed Internet access, refrigerator, microwave, coffee, iron, hair dryer, voice mail and spacious laptop work desk as an amenities.

Bed and Breakfast Inns

Time stands still in the mountains. For that special mountain getaway escape into timeless comfort at one of the many quaint B&Bs or small country inns. Wake up each morning to the smell of a full southern style breakfast being prepared just for you. Spend a lazy afternoon napping in the shade by a river that gently washes the everyday worries from your mind.

Bed & breakfasts and small country inns are just right for traveling couples and can offer old time country charm along with modern amenities such as private porches, hot tubs, and gas fireplaces.

Many B&Bs in the mountains are like a step back in time and all have a story to tell. Just ask your hosts. You will find that they can be your guide not only about local lore but they are a great source for out of the way excursions giving you a relaxed and personalized touch that will stay with you for a long time.

Room rates run about the same as those at chain motels however, mountain B&B lodging is usually away from town,

Cabin rentals

Get away from it all on a cozy porch of a comfortable cabin as you watch a Blue Ridge sunset.

Cabin Rentals offer the old style charm of a Bed and Breakfast plus the seclusion of a hotel suite. Mountain cabins usually rent by the week and can be small cozy rustic affairs to spacious mountain chalets with accommodations for your whole family or even a small group of friends.

Many of these chalets are beautifully decorated with spacious interiors and feature large decks, full kitchens, fireplaces, Jacuzzis, hot tubs, and game tables. Some are even equipped with wide screen TV's, satellite TV, wired and wireless DSL internet service, & many other amenities.

Mountain cabins are an easy way to spend time in the Carolina Blue Ridge. Rental cabins are there for your convenience and are always located close to activities. Cabins are a good idea when you take into account the money you’ll save by cooking your own meals, bringing your own entertainment such as movies or video games even sharing the cost of gas by carpooling to and from activities.

The Carolina Blue Ridge is one of the few places where you can experience the best of all four seasons, from the lazy blue days of summer to the inspiring colors of fall, to the quiet silence of snow in the winter, and the new hope of spring.
