Rock Band: The Beatles is a music video game published by MTV Games and distributed by Electronic Arts. This game will be well-suited with all rock band instrument controllers and other music-based video game peripherals.
In the gameplay, players are allowed to perform as members of The Beatles by providing up to six players with the feature to play three different controllers designed after music instruments -- a guitar controller for lead guitar, a drum controller and three microphones for vocals. There is an option known as Quickplay in both online or offline where the players can enjoy the full track list.
When singing vocals, the player must match their pitch to that of original vocals. For that, a pitch indicator is provided in the game which will display the singer's accuracy relative to the original pitch. For competition sense, there is a performance meter which drops down if a player fails to match the notes. This may lead the player to get out of the game, once the meter drops out completely. In such situations, a player can be saved by another player if he activates "Beatlemania", which can also be used to temporarily increase the count of the points that the band earns.
During the course of the game, the Beatles extraordinary list of music will take the players on a journey through the legacy of the band's legendary career. The audio and visuals look extra-ordinary as it is considered to be one of the highlights of the game. In short, Rock Band: The Beatles is a video game using different mechanics when compared to other music video games.
