The Curator Boss Strategy in World of Warcraft

The Curator is a boss in the Menagerie in the Karazhan instance. Here is the best way to fight him and win.

Abilities
 
The Curator has five abilities that need to taken into consideration. They are:
 
Summon Astral Flare- This is a mob that does chain lighting on the party. These must be killed immediately because they slow down or interrupt casting and movement. All DPS needs to be on these as soon as they pop up.
 
Hateful bolt- This is cast on the person who is second on the aggro list. It does 4500 to 6000 damage, but can be resisted if the player has arcane gear.
 
Evocation- This takes place when The Curator has spent all of his manna. He will no longer use any spells, but instead will regain all his manna. During this time, players need to have the flares dead and all DPS on The Curator because he takes 200% more damage.

Enrage- This happens when The Curator is at 15% health. He no longer summons flares or bolts, but he does do more damage to the tank.
 
Berserk- This happens when the fight has lasted 12 minutes or more. It will wipe the raid.
 
Fight
 
Have the tank run at The Curator and tank him at the first two pillars (farthest from the raid) and have the off tank hit him, also, so that he is the one getting the Hatful Bolt.
 
Have the main tank healers stand just far enough back to heal the tank. Have ranged DPS stand at the back wall to shoot the flares as they come up. Mêlée DPS should stand in-between the tank and the ranged DPS to cast the flares. The trick to this fight is to kill the flares as fast as possible. All DPS must be on them. Have your raid create a macro/target astral flare to speed up the targeting time.
 
Once the last flare dies, everyone in the raid should focus on The Curator with all their DPS. One minute before he Evocates, have the warlocks put Curse of Doom on him so that it goes off while he is in Evocate. This will do 20k+ damage to The Curator.
 
You must have him to 70%, then 50%, then 15% health at each Evocate. If he enters the Berserk state after 12 minutes the raid will wipe. When The Curator is at 15% health, have the  tank pop any damage reduction trinkets or spells he has and all healing should be on him. DPS The Curator until he is dead.
