    Anecdotal evidence suggests asthma gets worse when someone eats gluten (wheat etc). While researchers have been unable (in their limited searching) to found a direct link such as a gene, studies have shown a strong statistical link between people having celiac disease and being asthmatic. The safest course for people with asthma is to eat ‘gluten free’ food and ease their asthma symptoms.
