A Pair of Magic Glasses
Everybody dreams. Yesterday I had a wonderful dream that I happened to have a pair of magic glasses. Now let me tell you the magic characters of it.
First, the glasses could help me see things far away, really far. With this pair of glass, it was anything but difficult for me to get the perfect answers in the examination hall. Even to go to Harvard was an easy game for me now.
Second, the glasses had a function of perspective. If I wanted, I could see the gun in the inner pocket of the coat and I could see what is happening on the other side of the wall.
Far beyond these, the glasses
integrated with my body after a few days. A little anxious but more excited, I couldn’t wait to find out other functions of the glasses. It didn’t let me down. One day when I was reading a magazine, I was attracted by the cover girl. I just thought how wonderful it could be if I was as beautiful as her when my mother showed up and asked who I am. I knew the magic happened again. Stand in front of the mirror, I saw the cover girl. You couldn’t imagine how startled I was at that time.
I did a lot of good deeds with the glasses. But still, I am a little anxious about it. From time to time, I would ask myself why I should get the glasses and what if someday it disappeared. Nobody told me the answer. I could do nothing but do more help to the society to thank God.
As I have said, this is a wonderful dream. Of course the glasses did not disappear but a fairy showed up. She told me that the glasses belonged to me and that it would not disappear if I never use it for any bad purposes.
It couldn’t be any better. I was so happy to hear the fairy’s words. But the alarm clock ringed just then. Opening up my eyes, I could see no more far than before and could not change my face. It turned out to be a dream. Nevertheless, I didn’t sigh for long because I remembered the motto of the Harvard University: “This moment will nap, you will have a dream; this moment will study, you will interpret a dream.”
