This is because call charges are considerably low in the US than in other countries. In advanced telecommunication, an international call back occurs when the originator of a call is called back in a second call as a response.

There are at three methods for initiating or ‘triggering’ a call using international callback service namely traditional callback, SMS callback or SMS call and Web callback. As a matter of fact, the method of callback initiation depends on the type of callback service used by the subscriber.

In the traditional callback service, a subscriber opens to an account with a callback service provider, registers his or her phone number and later on, the subscriber is assigned a callback number in the United States or another third country. Therefore, when the subscriber wants to place a call he or she calls on the assigned number from the registered phone. After a single ring, the call hangs up before it is answered. During this process, computer recognises the registered phone number and call back. When the subscriber answers the phone, it means he or she is on the callback service provider’s phone system and place the call as if he or she is in the US. A subscriber can have access to the callback account on-line. Moreover, the subscriber can review his call history and other account details.

A second type of callback is known as SMS callback or SMS call. This is alike traditional callback services, except the subscriber initiates or triggers a call by sending an SMS message from the phone. The message contains the subscriber’s phone number as well as the number where he wishes to call. As a matter of fact, the callback system recognises the SMS message and calls the subscriber to get connected with the number.

A third type of callback is known as Web callback. As it is evident from the name, callback is initiated from the web by simply logging-in to the account on a website. The subscriber just has to enter the desired number where he wants to make a call.

There are three types of callback services and they are backed with positive and negative attributes. Traditional callback for instance works well in almost any location where telephone service is accessible. The SMS callback service is not available in every country while, web callback can be used in any country where the caller has access to the Internet.
