Purple isn't a very popular colour in designing web-sites, as it's seen as pretty girly and can give the impression of arrogance, finances, luxury and indulgence.

Brown, particularly the the lighter end of the spectrum can be very calming. Beige is also a popular colour in web-site design because it provides an earthy & relaxed feel. it could also mean tradition, poverty & mother earth.

Grey can be linked to sophistication, innovation & the future. The paler side is similar to white because it's a great colour to use on a website's background to create a sense of space & modernism.

Being aware of what the colours represent & the power of them can be of great benefit when designing sites. by knowing the target audience, web designers can choosing colours thoughtfully that connect to the user thus making the site look attractive and appealing. E-commerce places can be improved by guiding the user to the buy now button by creating contrast and drawing attention.
